        your April 15th INK
Morning Report preview,
        "Meet the insiders who are
going
        to produce psychedelic
films."
        Montreal-based and
CSE-listed IntelGenx or
        IGX makes and develops
        thin oral film products
        for the pharmaceutical
market.
        They have recently entered
        the non-prescription
cannabis market
        and on March 31st,
        the company shipped its
        first CBD Filmstrip order
        to Heritage Cannabis.
        The film is registered as
        a product for sale under
        medical cannabis rules in
        both Canada and Australia.
        The product uses the
firm's VersaFilm
        technology platform which
consists
        of thin edible films
        designed to act quicker
        than conventional tablets.
        A bit earlier on March
15th,
        IGX announced that it will
        exclusively partner
        with atai Life Sciences to
        develop compounds for
        the prevention or
treatment of
        mental health diseases
which
        include compounds
        that have psychedelic
properties.
        Importantly, atai will
initially
        acquire an approximate 25%
interest
        in IGX which involved
        a US$12.3 million equity
investment.
        atai also provided IGX
with
        a US$2 million secured
loan.
        Backers of privately held
atai include
        tech billionaire Peter
Thiel who
        is a co-founder of Paypal.
        Now, the deal could
        well be transformational
for
        IGX and it is now on
        a voyage to seek a TSX
listing.
        Indeed, things have
already
        been looking up for the
company.
        According to Refinitiv
data,
        sales have grown by over
100% over
        the last 12 months and
cash flow
        has been moving closer to
breakeven.
        Importantly, the insider
commitment trends
        have been heading in the
right direction,
        with multiple insiders
buying recently
        when the stock was trading
under 62 cents.
