194882712 - 1_855g8scs - PID 1851201 Hi I am Ted Dixon with your INK Morning Report Preview for October 28th: Insiders bet on big Bausch Health as it sets to get smaller. We close off our Canadian Healthcare mini-series by visiting our top-ranked big cap name in the group Bausch Health Companies. Bausch has a plan to split the company into three: Bausch and Lomb - a fully integrated, pure play eye-health company, Solta Medical focused on medical aesthetic devices, and Bausch Pharma - a diversified international pharmaceutical company. The stock has responded positively to the company's evolving road map to essentially get smaller up the stock is about 47% over the past year. In addition, earlier this year, the company came to an agreement with investor activist Carl Icahn which saw the Icahn group get two seats on the board which are filled by Brett Icahn and Steven Miller. Their addition adds to an already strong culture of insider commitment at the firm as demonstrated by rising insider ownership over the past year. In terms of financial results, the pandemic has served as a headwind for sales but following a strong Q2 of this year, free cash flow is up notably. In the months ahead, the Healthcare sector may be seen as offering a form of protection from fears associated with tighter central bank policies. If so, Bausch may also provide the added comfort of a well-defined road map in terms of how it is striving to generate shareholder value. That is all for today and thanks for dropping by.
