        for June 11th,
        "A sunny summer for
Whitecap Resources."
        The energy bull market is
in full swing with
        the S&P/TSX Capped Energy
Index
        up more than 50%
year-to-date.
        Based on upbeat insider
sentiment,
        we expect that the bull
market
        still has some legs.
        Despite the pop in oil &
gas stocks,
        the INK Energy Indicator
is
        slightly above 100%
meaning there
        are slightly more energy
companies
        with key insider buying
        than there are with
selling.
        That is unusually strong
        given the big move up in
share prices.
        Typically, insiders sell
when
        share prices move up
sharply.
        We see that movie
unfolding in
        real-time at AMC
Entertainment,
        a popular meme stock with
investors.
        AMC Entertainment appears
to be
        a popular sell stock after
        its big move even higher
with insiders.
        Returning to the oil
patch,
        Whitecap Resources has
been taking a breather
        after its big move late
        last fall and into March.
        Insiders have been
        buying the consolidation
period,
        betting that the company's
growth strategy
        will pay off.
        Whitecap has
        closed three acquisitions
this year,
        and, on May 17th,
        it announced preliminary
        2022 average production
guidance
        of 120,000 barrels of oil
equivalent per day.
        That compares to 2021
        expected average
production of
        approximately 108,000
barrels of
        oil equivalent per day,
        76% of that being liquids.
        Meanwhile, free cash flow
has been rising,
        and so have been the
dividends.
        In May, the company
announced
        an 8% boost to its monthly
dividend which
        now works out to 19 and a
half cents per
        share annually and will be
        in effect as of June's
dividend,
        payable in July 2021.
        Importantly, insiders
continue to believe in
        Whitecap's growth story
and have
        been buying as the stock
has consolidated.

Whitecap Resources.
